Important Updates
———————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————
On 9 September 2021, Campus Management (ZECM) will be switching the authentication service used for IT services. After this point, all of TU Berlin’s IT services will require an updated password, created after 23 June 2021 at https://pw-neu.tu-berlin.de in accordance with the University password requirements. This affects services such as MOSES/ISIS, eduroam WLAN, tuPORT, tubCloud, VPN, as well as Zoom and Webex.
Important!
Any University members, including students, research associates, and administrative employees, who have not yet changed their password, are urgently requested to do so as soon as possible. Effective 9 September 2021, it will no longer be possible to access TU Berlin’s IT services using your old password. Please do not wait until 9 September to change your password. We expect an increased number of support inquiries which will lead to longer waiting times.
Among other things, the Andrew File System Service (AFS), which can be used to integrate TU members’ home directories (“My Documents”), is also affected by the change. Windows users who are signed into the domain will automatically receive an update to integrate the released network drives using the new registration process. Your local administrator is your first point of contact for all questions relating to AFS.
This change in passwords is necessitated by TU Berlin’s new IT and security infrastructure which has been introduced as a result of the IT incident on 30 April 2021.
